FAQs
Straight answers for church leaders and donors.
Do we have to be a church to come?
Church groups are common, but Oc3anView is independent and non-denominational. Families, sports teams, and unaffiliated groups are welcome when they come to serve.
Do I need construction or other experience to serve?
No. Our staff will find meaningful work for anyone who wants to serve, regardless of experience, and we will teach you what you need to know. Tell us about your group through the Mission Trips page.
How far in advance should we book a mission trip?
Start with an inquiry as soon as you have a season in mind. Spring and fall fill first. We will confirm lodging (often near Playa Bonita Resort) and a project list together.
Is my donation tax-deductible in the U.S.?
Yes. Oc3anView Ministry is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 99-4907893). In Mexico we operate as an asociación civil (RFC OVM150814KP1). Receipts for U.S. and Mexican partners may differ — ask when you give if you need a specific form.
Can I drop clothing at Segunda?
Yes — clean, usable clothing and household goods. Please contact us through the Contact Form before dropping off any donation. Hours are a placeholder until staff post them.
Can I donate sporting goods or tools?
Yes. We welcome usable bats, gloves, balls, and tools in good working condition. We cannot accept construction materials such as lumber, because all materials for our building jobs are purchased in Mexico. Before donating anything, please contact us using the Contact Form. Details are on the Donate Goods page.
Where is the ministry located?
Oc3anView Ministry and Segunda are at 83550, Francisco I. Madero 25, Centro, Puerto Peñasco, Son., Mexico. Get directions.
